The Ford Control Arm is a critical component of the vehicle's suspension system, because it mates the steering knuckle to the car or truck frame. Most Ford Control Arms are formed like a letter "A"; the narrow end attaches to the steering knuckle and the lower end connects to the frame. When one control arm needs repair, it is generally wise to get the opposite arm checked because it too may have a similar need for repair.
