This #4-6 Stud Solderless Ring Terminal is made to attach the end of a 22-18 gauge electrical wire and allow it to be easily connected to a #4-6 stud or screw terminal. Without insulation it’s easy to make that bare metal to metal connection, see if you have made a solid crimp, and allows for the terminal to withstand much higher temperatures than insulated terminals.
