This M5 x 0.8 Thin Sheet Nutsert creates secure internal threads in thin materials that may be too thin for conventional tapping. Its blind installation design allows the insert to be installed from one side in plastic, aluminum, mild steel, and fiberglass.
Made from 1010 low-carbon steel with zinc plating and a clear chromate finish, the insert collapses outward during tool installation to clinch tightly against the sheet. Its tension-fastener design provides high pull-out strength while resisting rotation, vibration, and loosening under demanding operating conditions.
