This M4.2-1.41 (#8) extruded U-nut creates a secure threaded attachment point on sheet metal without requiring access to the back of the mounting panel. Its locking thread helps resist loosening, while the spring-style U-shaped design clips over the panel edge and aligns the threaded opening with the mounting hole.
Finished with a zinc organic coating, this extruded U-nut fits panel thicknesses from 0.65mm to 3.8mm and features a 9.5mm center-of-hole-to-edge measurement. It is designed for compatible GM front and rear bumper installations and general-purpose automotive applications from 1992 onward, replacing GM OEM number 11513599.
