This metric extruded U-nut is designed for GM automotive panel and component mounting applications requiring an M8-1.25 threaded attachment point. Genuine GM applications include underbody splash shields, skid shields, steering gear shields and other assemblies where the nut clips over the edge of a compatible panel.
The steel U-nut accommodates panel thicknesses from 0.8mm to 4.0mm and positions the center of the threaded hole 15mm from the panel edge. It features a zinc-organic finish and cross-references GM and Chevrolet OEM number 11548585.
