This 8-32 USS Thin Sheet Nutsert provides permanent internal threads in thin material that may not be thick enough to support conventional tapping. Its blind installation allows the insert to be installed from one side in plastic, aluminum, mild steel, and fiberglass.
Made from 1010 low-carbon steel with zinc plating and a clear chromate finish, the insert clinches securely against the sheet during installation. Its tension-fastener design provides high pull-out strength while resisting rotation, vibration, and loosening under demanding operating conditions.
