This 5/16-18 USS Thin Sheet Nutsert creates durable internal threads in thin material that may not support conventional tapped threads. The blind design permits installation from one side in plastic, aluminum, mild steel, and fiberglass.
Made from 1010 low-carbon steel with zinc plating and a clear chromate finish, the insert is installed by collapsing its wall outward against the sheet. The resulting connection provides high pull-out strength and resistance to rotation, vibration, and loosening.
