This 5/16"-18 extruded U-nut creates a secure threaded attachment point on sheet metal panels without requiring access to the back of the mounting surface. Its spring-style U-shaped design clips over the panel edge and aligns the threaded opening with the mounting hole for fast assembly.
Finished with a phosphate coating, this extruded U-nut fits panel thicknesses from .025" to .150" and has a 9/16" center-of-hole-to-edge measurement. It is designed for compatible Ford and Chrysler automotive fastening applications and replaces Ford OEM number 45264 and Chrysler OEM number 6023171.
