This 3/8-16 USS Thin Sheet Nutsert provides a strong threaded attachment point in thin material that may not support conventional tapping. It installs from one accessible side and has proven performance in plastic, aluminum, mild steel, and fiberglass.
The 1010 low-carbon steel insert features zinc plating with a clear chromate finish. Tool actuation collapses the insert wall outward to clinch securely against the sheet, creating a high pull-out connection that resists rotation, vibration, and loosening.
