This 3/8"-16 extruded U-nut creates a secure threaded attachment point on sheet metal without requiring access to the back of the mounting panel. Its spring-style U-shaped design clips over the panel edge and positions the threaded opening over the mounting hole for efficient assembly and repair.
Finished with a phosphate coating, this extruded U-nut fits panel thicknesses from .050" to .200" and has a 3/4" center-of-hole-to-edge measurement. It is designed for compatible GM and Ford automotive applications and replaces GM OEM numbers 1494254 and 12337873 and Ford OEM number 45265-S2.
