This Solderless Butt Connector is made to attach the end of a 22-18 gauge wire to the end of another 22-18 gauge wire easily. Without insulation it’s easy to make that bare metal to metal connection, see if you have made a solid crimp, and allows for the connector to withstand much higher temperatures than insulated terminals.
