This 1/4-20 USS Thin Sheet Nutsert provides strong reusable threads in thin material that may be unsuitable for conventional tapping. Its blind design permits installation from one side in plastic, aluminum, mild steel, and fiberglass.
Constructed from 1010 low-carbon steel, the insert has a zinc-plated clear chromate finish. The wall collapses outward during tool installation to clinch tightly against the sheet, producing high pull-out strength and resistance to rotation, vibration, and loosening.
